Does the school get a percentage of the products that the parents buy from DreamSakes on-line also?
Not at this time, but we’re hoping to add that opportunity down the road.
If a family participates in the program for a year and then for whatever reason decides not to the following year, can they still access their on-line gallery?
Yes.
Can a family get a discount if they enroll more than one child?
Not at this time.
What do I say to a school who currently uses Artsonia.com?
Your response: That’s great! I’m happy to hear that your school is embracing the arts! Artsonia does a great job displaying special art pieces from a child’s collection of artwork. What we do is quite a bit different, however, and here is how:
- Rather than requiring the teachers to photograph and upload images of their student’s artwork to a website, we do all the work for you. You just put the artwork in a provided box and ship it to us with a prepaid shipping label.
- The artwork that we scan is much larger than the maximum 8.5×11” from Artsonia. Not only do we scan artwork up to 22×12 inches, but also up to 2” high.
- The quality of our commercial grade scanners far outperforms a photograph or home scanner. We create museum quality high resolution images that can be printed on large-scale poster or canvas.
- We don’t just scan one piece of art per student. We scan ALL of a child’s’ artwork throughout the school year, resulting in a growing online gallery of their artwork created in homeroom and art class. Parents are automatically advised via email when new artwork is in their only gallery to view, download, or print on personal gifts.
- With Artsonia, the schools earn 15% of the products that parents decide to purchase with their child’s image. We give the schools 20% of entire subscription fee per student, regardless of whether a parent orders products or not. A school will earn over $1,000 if just 20% of a 300-student school participate!
