This Nasty Economy!

by Susan on May 4, 2010

In towns all across America, PTA’s, PTO’s, school boards, and concerned parents are struggling with how to fund local schools. My town is no exception. And although we’re asking for less than a 1% budget increase, I see lawn signs popping up saying “Vote No” for schools.

And yes, today is our VOTE day. I’ll be sure to stop by town hall (with sick kid in tow!).

It’s at times like these, that schools need to be very creative in how they raise funds. We think we’re on to something with the DreamSakes School Fundraising program. Not only are schools struggling, but parents are also finding less time to schlep wrapping paper and other chatchkies.

Are you a concerned parent, who would also like to earn some money while working from home? Become an Art Advocate and start by presenting the DreamSakes School Fundraiser program to your own school!
